One Mission, One Island, One Love

A powerful wave of unity is sweeping across the Caribbean diaspora as leading promoters and broadcasters join forces for one historic goal — to raise over £1 million to help Jamaica rebuild after the devastation of Hurricane Melissa.

At the heart of this movement are George Crooks of Jammins Entertainment, Robert “Bobby” Clarke of Irie Jam Media, and G City of Roadblock Radio, who have officially announced the “Jamaica Strong Benefit Concert,” set for Friday, December 12, 2025, at the UBS Arena in Queens, New York.

The Power of Unity in Action

This initiative began as a spark of conversation aboard a cruise among Caribbean radio personalities and event organizers — and quickly transformed into a full-scale cultural and humanitarian mission.

When George Crooks, a pioneer in Caribbean event production, linked with Bobby Clarke and G City, the question became simple: “What can we do collectively to make something big?”

That question led to an answer that now has the entire Caribbean community mobilizing behind it — a massive benefit concert uniting the region’s biggest names in music, media, and business.

“We’re not just putting on another show — this is about sending a huge check back home,” said George Crooks. “Our goal is to raise at least a million dollars for Jamaica’s recovery efforts — and we’re not stopping there.”

The Legends Behind the Vision

Each man leading this initiative carries a legacy that has shaped Caribbean entertainment in the U.S.:

  • George Crooks – The benchmark for Caribbean live events, founder of Jammins Entertainment, responsible for decades of unforgettable concerts and cultural showcases.
  • Bobby Clarke – The media mogul behind Irie Jam Radio, known for his commitment to Jamaica’s cultural preservation and community empowerment.
  • G City (KC) – The driving force of Roadblock Radio, representing a new generation of Caribbean media voices using their platforms to inspire action.

Together, they’re blending experience, innovation, and compassion to lead a global movement under the banner “Jamaica Strong.”

A Star-Powered Lineup

The concert’s confirmed performers already include an all-star cast of Caribbean icons:
🎤 Shaggy – Grammy Award-winning reggae ambassador and founder of the Make A Difference Foundation
🎶 KES – Trinidad & Tobago’s hitmaking soca band bringing high energy and island unity
🎤 T.O.K. – Legendary dancehall group reuniting for this special occasion
🎸 Inner Circle – The “Bad Boys of Reggae” keeping roots music alive
🎙 Richie Stephens – Voice of faith and resilience
🔥 Mr. Vegas – Dancehall hitmaker adding his energy and star power

And with more artists still to be announced, the stage is set for one of the largest Caribbean benefit concerts ever hosted in North America.

Endorsed by Jamaica, Powered by the People

The Government of Jamaica, through Minister Olivia “Babsy” Grange, has officially endorsed the concert as part of the country’s official relief efforts.

All proceeds from the event will go directly toward Jamaica’s Hurricane Relief & Recovery Fund and Shaggy’s Make A Difference Foundation, supporting families, schools, and communities hardest hit by the storm.

“We as promoters and media people in New York have a responsibility to our homeland,” said Bobby Clarke. “We live for the people of Jamaica — and this concert is how we show it.”

The Call to Action

Organizers are calling on the entire Caribbean diaspora — from New York to Miami, from London to Kingston — to come together and make history.
