For Seville, the award reflects a historic season that cemented his place among sprinting’s elite. As the reigning world champion in the men’s 100m, he has carried Jamaica’s storied sprinting tradition forward with power, precision, and confidence—proving once again that the island remains the heartbeat of global speed.

Tina Clayton’s recognition is equally powerful. Her silver-medal performance in the women’s 100m showcased both brilliance and resilience, signaling the arrival of a new generation of Jamaican female sprinters ready to dominate the world stage.
