
Reggae legend Beres Hammond has achieved a historic milestone in his celebrated career. Specifically, he earned his first-ever music certification. On April 3, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) awarded a Silver Certification to Can’t Stop A Man: The Ultimate Collection. This recognizes more than 60,000 units in combined digital sales and streaming equivalents in the United Kingdom.
Released by VP Records in 2003, the 39-track compilation showcases Hammond’s greatest hits. It covers the 1970s through the early 2000s. Furthermore, it highlights a remarkable catalog that has stood the test of time. Consequently, it continues to resonate with audiences worldwide.
Reflecting on the achievement, Hammond expressed gratitude for the continued support of his fans. “I am greatly humbled that all generations enjoy my music,” Hammond said. Moreover, he noted, “Everyone knows my music is universal and appreciated by all.”

Hammond will return to the UK stage on May 25. He will perform as part of the City Splash Festival in Brixton. This event is one of the country’s premier celebrations of Caribbean music and culture.
